Raised in St. Louis and educated in Chicago, Meisha arrived here in 2011 after working in California to manage health and environmental campaigns. Her way with words, perfectly capturing the tone for any audience, and her vision for video quickly led her to the creative team, where she now oversees much of the team’s output.
Both a former copywriter and planner, with research and strategy experience, she keeps the creative not only fresh but effective, artfully leveraging behavioral determinants with both big ideas and subtle word choices. Meisha has led behavior change marketing campaigns to encourage residents to conserve water in Santa Monica, Calif.; to eat fresh fruits and vegetables in intercity San Jose, Calif.; and to reduce fertilizer throughout the Mississippi River Basin. Meisha’s clients include the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, The Health Trust, the CDC, and Safe Kids Worldwide. Prior to joining Marketing for Change, Meisha worked in project management at a San Francisco-based behavior change marketing firm as well as a domestic violence agency in Chicago, Ill. Meisha holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing and public relations from DePaul University.
In her spare time, Meisha is also the host of Blooming in Black, a podcast that shares the stories of real black women unapologetically designing lives they love.
