Christene Jennings

Principal + COO

Since joining Marketing for Change in 2006, Christene has used her drive for efficient processes and passion for mentorship to help grow the agency from a small startup to a full service creative firm. As COO, Christene is laser-focused on driving performance measures that ensure we do good work for our clients that do good for the world. Previously, as Marketing for Change’s director of behavior change marketing, Christene designed environmental, traffic safety and public health campaigns for clients including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Safe Kids Worldwide, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. An expert in traffic safety, Christene has spearheaded break-through projects that move away from the crowded risk-messaging market and focus instead on reinforcing positive norms. Known for cultivating effective partnerships, Christene has been tapped to lead two national Blue Ribbon Panels, which brought together disparate groups to bring attention to and develop solutions for numerous emerging traffic safety challenges.

Before joining Marketing for Change, Christene was Director of Programs at the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety (ACTS), where she spent more than eight years encouraging seat belt use and improving child passenger safety. Christene led ACTS’ biggest foray into behavior-change marketing — a tween traffic safety initiative that drew national attention, including segments on NBC Nightly News and CNN.

Christene holds a Bachelor of Science from Salisbury University.
