Account Planner & Media Relations Supervisor
Want to use your talent for good? We are seeking an experienced communication professional to take a leadership role in our effort to make marketing and communication a more positive force in the world. The successful candidate will play a senior role helping our clients – primarily national nonprofits, foundations, healthcare providers and government – win media attention, gain support and build buzz around campaigns to improve health, protect the environment or advance a social cause. The ideal candidate will mix a passion for creating positive change with a trifecta of experience:
(1) managing large, complex marketing or communication campaigns, preferably in the arenas of advocacy, healthcare or behavior change; (2) planning and executing successful media relations and outreach efforts on a national level, and (3) leading or playing a significant role in the development of new business opportunities.
This is a new position in our agency, and while we know that it will center on media relations, account management and promotion, the exact duties will depend on the talent, experience, preferences and passions of the person we hire. We do expect them to have significant experience working with reporters and producers in the news media. We are open to part-time employment and offer full benefits for all employees who work at least 80% time (32 hours a week).
