Video Storyteller / Production Lead – Social Change

Use your powers for good as leader of the video production team at Marketing for Change Co., a research and creative agency exclusively focused on inspiring positive behaviors.

As leader of our growing, in-house video team, your work will not be focused on selling products, but on advancing public health, equity, environmental protection and progressive change. We are looking for both technical expertise (editing, directing, production) and the ability to convey emotion and a story arc.


Marketing for Change is dedicated to surprising and delighting audiences (no matter the budget) through everything from documentary and training videos to commercial spots to short social shareables and TikToks.

The successful candidate will have previous professional experience directing, editing and managing video projects from start to finish.

Requirements include:

  • Editing experience (preferably in Adobe Premiere)
  • Directing and production experience, including directing crew
  • Experience coaching actors and non-actors
  • Ability to create a moving treatment of scripts or documentary concepts.
  • Self teacher – Keeps up with latest technologies and trends
  • Organized – Able to handle several projects at once
  • Interfacing with clients and co-workers in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in ideography, lighting design, casting, sound editing and coloring
  • Experience planning video shoots (budgeting, scheduling, scouting, identifying talent, recruiting crew, etc.)
  • Experience creating and inserting static and motion graphics into video projects
  • Moderate USA-based travel

Nice to have

  • Scriptwriting and/or interviewing experience (documentary style).
  • After Effects editing experience
  • Managing a team of video professionals

Salary commensurate with experience, with an expected range of $40,000–$75,000.

Marketing for Change has physical offices in the Washington, DC metro area and Orlando, FL in addition to remote employees across the United States. Because it is important for this position to be in close proximity to other creative staff, this position is open to the Washington, DC metro area (in office); Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado (remote offices); or Orlando, Florida (in office).
