The Challenge

The Florida Healthy Kids Corporation coordinates the statewide outreach and marketing of the Florida KidCare insurance program through a vast network of advocates, healthcare providers and community-based organizations. Most of these partners use slick marketing materials provided by the Corporation, but more and more were developing their own so they can drop in their specific logos, images and contact information. This both challenged and tasked the Healthy Kids staff with frequently reviewing flyers, posters and brochures to ensure each was within brand.

Our Approach

Our team developed a creative power tool for Florida KidCare partners to build and customize their own professionally designed materials. KidCare Creative ( is an online resource center that allows users to select layouts, choose message platforms, upload local pictures, add local partner logos and include local information to make their materials more reader-relevant. All elements are pre-approved by the Healthy Kids Corporation and adhere to the Florida KidCare brand. The website also helps determine which template best fits a partner’s needs: flyer, poster, postcard or brochure. Users just create an online account and their custom-made materials will be stored in a personal library. Once a print-ready file has been saved in the library, it can be printed from any color office printer. The corporation can then track how many partners are using the site and preview their materials in the shared library.

The Results

KidCare Creative empowers grassroots outreach partners to produce professionally customized materials that speak to eligible families. Since launching the site, nearly all the Florida KidCare partners have assembled active libraries.
